The Midland County Hospital District on Monday provided an update to the MDC about successes, challenges and a fifth-year overview of its recruiting program. This was before the MDC board approved a $50,373.13 payment authorization to the district for its recruiting program. To date, according to officials at the meeting, a total of $2.5 million has been invested in the program since 2014. That money has resulted in “$130 million” in per capita economic output of patient care, according to Midland Memorial Hospital officials.
