Midland Spaceport Development Board Created

The City of Midland and Midland County have taken a big step in re-establishing the Midland Spaceport Corporation. The reestablishment of the board will enable Midland to be eligible for funding from the State of Texas for aerospace economic development and can be used for additional infrastructure at the Midland Spaceport.

Executive Director, Sara Harris says, “Having the Spaceport Development Corporation active in Midland puts us in a better position to show that we're serious about our spaceport development and we want to have this body active.”

There will be representation from both the City of Midland and Midland County with room for Midlanders to serve on the board. For more information about open seats on Midland's Boards and Commissions, please visit the City of Midland's website.
